For 27 years I have worked with 650+ couples and thousands of individual clients on one specific thing: bringing people back into sensation and contact with the ones they love.

The cards are the 15-minute practice I use in every session.

One card.

One person answers.

One thought at a time.

Three responses only.

THE METHOD (the part nobody else sells you)

The questions are not the product. The method is.

Most of us do not listen to understand.

We listen to interject. We listen to project. We are already forming our answer before the other person has finished speaking.

These cards interrupt that, completely, for fifteen minutes at a time.

How it works:

Set a timer for fifteen minutes on one prompt.
One of you picks a card and reads it aloud.
Take turns answering. One thought, or one layer, at a time. Each turn, you go deeper on your OWN answer. Not on what they said.
One thought, or one layer, at a time. Not a story. Not a paragraph. One layer.
When you are the listener, you respond with ONE of THREE things. Nothing else:
△ Thank you (understood)
△ Clarify that (unpack something)
△ Summarise that (one clear thought)
Then switch. Speaker becomes listener. Listener becomes speaker. Same prompt..
Keep switching until the fifteen minutes are up. Layer by layer. At first you may be surface swimming. Then with each turn, deeper and deeper, until you find things about each other you may never have known in 23 years of marriage.

Summarise that is the superpower. It stops the other person going on and on. It stops you silently forming your answer while they are still talking.

No fixing. No correcting. No defending. No "yes but." No responding to what they just said.

Three responses. One prompt. Fifteen minutes. Each turn, a deeper layer of your OWN answer.

That is why the structure is so potent.

For lighter use: one turn each with kids. 3 to 5 turns each with close friends.
